Electronics is prime technology supporting advances in a myriad of engineering fields and industries.

The Department of Electronic Engineering, transporting around the good reputation for light current electrical engineering at Tohoku College that delivered such advances because the magnetron, pin diode, and static induction transistor and thyristor, today continues leading-edge education and research in a variety of fields of electronics, from electronic materials and products to image systems and personal computers.

The Department has labs within the fields of Microelectronics, Electronic Control Systems, Materials Engineering, and Electronic Systems Engineering, adding to advance in electronics supporting human abundance.

The Audience of Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, Electronic Engineering and knowledge Engineering (The ECEI Group) involves roughly 80 labs and 200 faculty people including three graduate schools in addition to Research Institute of Electrical Communication, which makes it a significant center for electrical communication and knowledge studies in Japan. Leading-edge researches are now being carried out together with government and industry.

Graduated pupils receive substantial support, and students beginning in the Master’s program research is positively involved with academic presentations overseas as well as in distribution to worldwide journals.

Within the overall electrical and knowledge education of Tohoku College, the Department of Electronic Engineering accounts for graduate school education and research in electronic engineering fields. The Department is creating and recognizing a persons communications for the future in diverse research fields which include spintronics, microelectronics engineering, electronic control engineering, plasma science engineering, solid condition electronics, solid condition physics, image electronic engineering, intelligent electronic circuits, and biomedical electronics. Tohoku College is among Japan’s most representative research centers of spintronics.
